Title: Group Lead Character Artist
Reporting to: Art Director
 
Summary:
Duties:
  • To model the characters of the game following the game design
  • To consult, create and work on graphic references corresponding to the art direction in order to model the characters
  • To work in collaboration with the animators, programmers and game designers to optimize the characters’ final result according to their restrictions
  • To apply textures to give credibility to the character according to the art direction and the game design
  • Support and divide the tasks between the character artist team.

Experience and requires qualities:

Profile  Essential
 
Experience and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in character modeling; at least 1 years as a Lead
  • At least 1 published video game title, preferably on next gen consoles
  • Diploma in character modeling or the equivalent
Technical Abilities
  • Experience in character modeling with 3D programs and 2D art applications
  • Excellent knowledge of human anatomy, physiologic reactions, corporal language and proportions in character conception
  • Excellent knowledge in animation
Interpersonal Qualities

  • Ability to be receptive to art direction and to perform well within a collaborative team environment
